SDC Community Climate and Nature Fund

Funding Available: up to £10,000
Deadline: 13th April 2026

The Community Climate and Nature Fund is currently open for applications from local councils, charities and community groups, and aims to support a wide range of climate change initiatives. Past energy efficiency and retrofit projects have included roof and cavity wall insulation, window replacements, and more. WDC Rural and urban capital improvement grants scheme (RUCIS)

Funding Available: £1,000 – £20,000
Deadline: Rolling Fund

Warwick District Council’s RUCIS Scheme is open to locally led and run, not for profit, community organisations that wish to seek funding to go towards capital projects within the Warwick District area. This could include loft or cavity wall insulation, roof or window replacements, etc. More information about eligibility, guidance documents, and past projects can be found here.

Warm Homes Local Grant

Funding Available: Various
Deadline: Rolling fund

The Warm Homes Local Grant allows eligible households to apply for funding for a range of measures, including solar panels, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and air source heat pumps. The scheme is aimed at private owner occupier and private rented sector residents on a low income with properties that have a low energy performance. Energy Saving Trust Boiler Upgrade Scheme

Funding Available: Up to £7,500
Deadline: Rolling fund

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme, offered by the Energy Saving Trust, allows for households to apply for up to £7,500 of funding to go towards a low-carbon heating system. This includes air and ground source heat pumps, biomass boilers and heat batteries. Before applying, please review their eligibility criteria here.

Heart of England Community Energy Grant Fund

Funding Available: variable depending on the application
Deadline: Rolling fund

Heart of England Community Energy offer Community Grant Funding of at least £50,000 each year to charities, CICs and community benefit schemes across the South Warwickshire area, who are looking to fund small community initiatives, or carbon reduction projects. Applications will be assessed in February, May, August and November this year. The National Lottery

Funding Available: £3,000 – £20,000
Deadline: Rolling fund

The National Lottery Awards for All England is available to all community and voluntary groups, local councils, charities and schools. The scheme aims to provide funding for projects that bring people together to build strong relationships and improve communities in England. More information on how to apply can be found here.

Severn Trent Community Fund

Funding Available: between £2,000 and £50,000
Deadline: Rolling fund

The Severn Trent Community Fund aims to support charities and community groups with over £2 million of funding per year. Almost all schemes would be eligible – please see this page for more information.

The Eddie Stobart Sustainability Fund

Funding Available: Unspecified
Deadline: Rolling fund

The Stobart Sustainability Fund is open to community groups, educational facilities and small businesses with project ideas that aim to tackle climate change, reduce carbon emissions, or protect and enhance the environment. To apply, please fill in their short expression of interest form. Applicants are invited to specify the amount of funding their wish to apply for when they fill in the EOI form.

Npower Business Solutions Fund

Funding Available: Up to £100,000
Deadline: Rolling fund

The Npower Business Solutions Fund was established to support initiatives put forward by not-for-profit organizations and educational institutions focused on community development and sustainability. A total of £15 million has been made available to fund these projects. Applications are assessed quarterly. To express your interest in the Fund, please fill in their enquiry form here.

FCC Community Action Fund

Funding Available: £10,000 – £100,000
Deadline: 20th May 2026

The FCC Community Action Fund is available to local councils, charities and community groups who are looking to make improvements to their owned assets, such as village halls, nature reserves, and other publicly accessible spaces. Their full eligibility criteria can be found here.

Applicants must be located within 10 miles of an FCC landfill site, which you can check by clicking here. Most locations nearby to Alcester and Leamington Spa are within the radius of a site.

Biffa Award – Community Buildings

Funding Available: £10,000 – £75,000
Deadline: Rolling Fund

The Biffa Award – Community Buildings aims to lead to improvements to buildings at the heart of their local communities, allowing them to remain community assets for years to come. Many building improvements are eligible, beyond just energy and carbon related initiatives.

The project must be delivered within 10 miles of any registered landfill site, which you can check by clicking here. The majority of locations in South Warwickshire remain eligible despite this. Please note that local councils cannot apply for this fund – it is restricted to fully constituted charities or not-for-profit organisations.

The CSW Communities Fund

Funding Available: up to £3,000
Deadline: Rolling fund

The Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire Communities Fund is a scheme run by the Heart of England Community Foundation. They offer grants for projects that meet one of the following aims:

• Promote health & wellbeing
• Tackling disadvantage
• Support local solutions to meet local needs
• Promote community cohesion
• Develop sustainable & supporting communities
