SDC Community Climate and Nature Fund – Round Four
In November 2023, Stratford-on-Avon District Council’s Cabinet agreed to establish a Stratford-on-Avon Community Climate and Nature Fund (CCNF). The purpose of the CCNF was to enable the delivery of projects within the communities of Stratford-on-Avon District, which focus on climate change mitigation, adaptation and climate resilience, or enhancing local biodiversity.
From the start of Round One in November 2023 and the end of Round Three in April 2026, we distributed £250,000 of grant funding across 53 projects. To see a full list, as well as case studies of select projects, please visit the Community Climate and Nature Fund Rounds 1-3 page.

Round Four of the CCNF is now open! £200,000 has been made available to successful applicants, across four quarterly funding windows.
The following groups will be able to apply for grant funding through the CCNF:
- Town or Parish Councils
- Formally constituted charity and community groups
- Sports clubs
The CCNF will fund projects which meet one of the following criteria:
- Projects which result in a direct reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
- Projects which build resilience to the impacts of climate change.
- Projects which will result in research enabling access to more significant funding applications.
- Projects which will result in the enhancement of biodiversity.
Eligible applicants can apply for up to £10,000 per project.

| Bickerscourt Wellbeing CIC | Installation of owl and bat boxes, bug hotels, and restoration of multiple pond areas across their site | £9,973 |
| Harbury Parish Council | Installation of a water mains connection to open a new 3/4 acre allotment at Hall Lane | £7,507.10 |
| Luddington Village Hall | Installation of 27 solar panels and two 19kW batteries | £7,500 |
| Clopton Community Action Group | Installation of 30 solar panels and an 18.08kWh battery at the Ken Kennett Centre | £8,595 |
| Stratford RFC | Upgrade of 21 floodlights to LED | £9,100 |
| 1st Kineton Scout Group | Installation of ceiling insulation and LED light panelling at Kineton Scout Hut | £8,273 |
| Escape Arts | Delivery of a 12-month community climate adaptation programme, including delivery of multiple workshops and events with schools and residents, creative climate walks, and much more | £6,956 |
From the initial £200,000 budget, there is £115,523 still available to successful applicants after the July appraisal.

Round Four will be open until April 2027, and applications will be appraised once every three months. All applications will be considered at the nearest appraisal date following their submission, which have a submission deadline two days prior to the meeting being held. The provisional timelines are as follows:

For your application to be considered at the next appraisal date (14th October 2026) please submit your application by 5pm on Monday 12th October.
