Repair Cafes in Stratford District

Repair cafés are spaces where volunteers with repair skills can meet individuals seeking to fix broken items, creating a community gathering space for learning, skill sharing, and interaction.

The aims of a repair café are:

  • To embed and promote a culture of repair over replacement
  • Bringing the community together to repair our possessions.
  • Preventing the CO2 emissions caused by throwing away and buying new.
  • Helping residents during the cost-of-living crisis.
  • Keeping things out of landfill.

As the name suggests, they are cafés as well, with tea, coffee and cakes for you to enjoy, making these social events too.
